After being stuck at home for quite some time, new travel trends show that tourists are seeking out destinations in India that offer adventure activities. What has become more important than the destination is the variety of adventure activities it offers. After revenge traveling to make up for all the travel lost during the lockdown, the latest trend now is adventure travel.

India has such a diverse landscape with beaches islands, mountains, and deserts. There are many options that tourists choose from. Paragliding, trekking, and river rafting are some of the most loved adventure activities, although tourists are also choosing to explore mountain biking, bungee jumping, and desert safaris.

1. Rishikesh

Famous for the Ganges River, this city has been attracting tourists interested in water activities like white water rafting, rappelling, etc. Apart from the breathtaking views, these activities let tourists get a taste of adventure after being confined to their homes for so long. Tourists can stay at beautiful luxury camps alongside the Ganga every night.

2. Ladakh

It offers treks through the natural landscapes which makes it a perfect destination for adventure and nature enthusiasts. The high altitude and cold desert terrain attract adventure lovers who indulge in exciting and adventurous trekking activities.

3. Mandarmani

Tourists from all around West Bengal, especially Kolkata, flock to the beaches of Mandarmani all throughout the year. This beach offers many adventure activities like ATV bike rides, bungee jumping, and trampolines. Tourists may also parasail over the beach. This is also the longest drivable beach in India and people often take their cars down to the beach. Another activity that is like a lot here is the banana boat ride.

4. Thar Desert

A lot of tourists are looking forward to enjoying a safari through the vast desert in Rajasthan. This place offers both camel safari and jeep rides across the desert. Cultural programs are organized for those who wish to stay at desert camps.

5. Andaman

This place is a favorite for water activities lovers. From snorkeling to scuba diving and parasailing, Andaman attracts tourists for many such adventure activities. Tourists prefer staying at hotels that offer a variety of water activities. Many tourists also enjoy beach hopping.

6. Auli

It is a hill station in Uttarakhand that boasts of a ski resort. During peak winter, this destination attracts enthusiasts for adventure sports like skiing and snowboarding. People who love snow and mountains are looking forward to visiting Auli this winter.

7. Manali

This much-loved travel destination also offers great adventure activities. From river rafting and paragliding to mountaineering and mountain biking, tourists prefer trying all of these while holidaying in Manali.

8. The Spiti Valley

It is another popular adventure destination in India. So many travelers keep going back to Spiti Valley to experience the most challenging treks in the country. People who have stopped working out during the lockdown should get back to it to be able to complete this trek.

Taking part in adventure activities is giving people new and exciting things to experience. The trend of choosing the activity first is making tour operators tweak their packages as well.
